Membership Applications Most Welcome

The Circle warmly welcomes new members who are interested in any or all aspects of wine labels. No prior knowledge is required; indeed membership is a way of learning more about labels and having contact with others with the same interests. Many members have their own collections of labels, some with only one or two labels, some with more extensive displays; but some members do not collect but are interested in matters relating to labels.

Membership is also a way of learning more about a label or labels you possess. Possible questions include: What is the material from which the label is made? When was it made and where? If it is silver, did the maker produce other designs? What is the name on the label - PORT or SHERRY may be obvious but what if the name is CARCAVELLO, OLD TOM, MOUNTAIN or HARVEY? Among the Circle's members there will almost certainly be people who can answer such questions.

Membership entitles you to the two issues of the Journal each year, attendance at the two organised meetings (there is normally a charge for the Spring meeting, but not for the Autumn one) and private viewing of special collections. Equally important is the opportunity for friendly contact with other members.

Subscriptions

The current subscription for membership is £20 per annum, due on 1 January each year. There are two methods of paying this subscription:

• By standing order from a UK bank account

• By PayPal (using your own PayPal account or your credit/debit card) and clicking on the Pay Now button below for those who do not have a UK bank account. This is a totally secure payment method and your PayPal or credit/debit card details are not passed on to the Circle

Making Payments

To make payments to the Circle, you can use your PayPal account if you have one or use the system to pay by credit or debit card. If you are paying a subscription, click the 'Pay Now' button; otherwise check the drop down arrow to choose 'Meetings' or 'Other' and then click 'Pay Now'
